A tragic accident at a poultry plant in Hattiesburg, Mississippi has claimed the life of a teenage boy. The incident occurred on July 14 at the Mar-Jac Poultry-MS processing plant. The company released a statement confirming that an employee conducting sanitation operations had died from injuries sustained in the accident.

The employee was identified as a 16-year-old Hispanic male from Hattiesburg. However, his name has been withheld due to his age and the ongoing investigation. Friends and family of the teenager have identified him as Duvan Pérez in social media posts. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
