“Deadly Crash Claims Lives of Michael Adam Warnaca, Erick William Kerkman, and 15-Year-Old Female Passenger”

A tragic accident occurred on July 14th in Cass County, Iowa, resulting in the loss of three lives. The Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a deadly crash at the intersection of Highway 71 and Troublesome Creek.

According to authorities, a 1999 Ford F350 was heading northbound on Highway 71 when it veered across the center line and collided head-on with a 2001 Toyota Camry. The impact caused the F350 to roll onto its side and come to a stop on the west shoulder, while the Camry ended up in a ditch on the west side. Shockingly, neither the driver nor the passenger in the F350 were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Tragically, both drivers involved in the collision, 43-year-old Michael Adam Warnaca of Exira, IA, and 46-year-old Erick William Kerkman of North Liberty, IA, lost their lives. Additionally, a 15-year-old female passenger in the Camry also succumbed to her injuries. The accident also left a 10-year-old male passenger in the F350 and a 12-year-old passenger in the Camry with significant injuries.

At this point, it remains unclear why the F350 crossed the center line, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident.
