“269 Victims Identified in Stolen Property Investigation by Stratford Police”

In a recent stolen property investigation, the Stratford police have identified 269 different victims. The investigation began on June 26 when officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Britannia Street. Inside the home, they discovered over 550 pieces of suspected stolen property, including personal mail, credit cards, debit cards, driver’s licenses, health cards, gift cards, membership cards, Social Insurance Number cards, passports, cheques, and keys.

Additionally, the police seized nine rounds of .223 ammunition, break and enter tools, and a small amount of methamphetamine. The seized property has been linked to 269 victims, who are believed to be from Stratford and the surrounding area. However, the police also have reports on file from 21 victims between 2020 and 2022, and they have not yet received reports from the remaining 248 victims.

The police are making efforts to contact each victim, but they face challenges as they do not have contact information for many of them and have been unable to locate them. In light of this, the Stratford Police Service is urging community members to come forward if they have had any of the above-mentioned items stolen or missing between 2020 and June 2023.
