In a recent stolen property investigation, the Stratford police have identified 269 different victims. The investigation began on June 26 when officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Britannia Street. Inside the home, they discovered over 550 pieces of suspected stolen property, including personal mail, credit cards, debit cards, driver’s licenses, health cards, gift cards, membership cards, Social Insurance Number cards, passports, cheques, and keys.
Additionally, the police seized nine rounds of .223 ammunition, break and enter tools, and a small amount of methamphetamine. The seized property has been linked to 269 victims, who are believed to be from Stratford and the surrounding area. However, the police also have reports on file from 21 victims between 2020 and 2022, and they have not yet received reports from the remaining 248 victims.
