A one-year-old child died in Crawfordville, Florida, and court documents reveal the horrific details of the case. Jacob Robison, the live-in boyfriend of the child’s mother, Skyler Crawford, has been charged with homicide.

The incident began with a 911 call on the night of July 12th. Deputies found Crawford in the parking lot of a Dollar General, and when they arrived on the scene, they discovered the child with blue lips. Despite attempts to resuscitate the child, they were unable to find a pulse or signs of breathing. Deputies also noted bruises all over the child’s body.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Robison had sent texts to Crawford indicating his involvement in the child’s death. He mentioned putting the child to bed and later stated that the child had fallen off the bed, potentially causing a knot on her head. Medical professionals at the Emergency Room pronounced the child dead and described the injuries as if she had been beaten to death.

Further investigation revealed that Robison had a history of anger management issues and had been previously arrested for child abuse and battery. Despite this, he was still allowed to be around children, raising questions about the Department of Children and Families’ decision-making process.

The Department of Children and Families released a statement expressing their sadness over the child’s passing and confirming their collaboration with law enforcement in the investigation. They also emphasized that investigations regarding abuse, neglect, or abandonment are confidential.

This tragic case highlights the importance of protecting children from abusive individuals and the need for thorough background checks and monitoring. It is a devastating reminder that more measures need to be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children..
