The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has recently identified five individuals who were tragically killed in New Orleans. One of the victims, Leah Perry, who was only 17 years old, was found with at least one gunshot wound to her body on July 7. She was standing outside when she was shot by the occupants of a dark-colored sedan in a drive-by attack. Unfortunately, she did not survive her injuries.

Another 17-year-old named Corey Clausell was also fatally shot within an hour of Leah Perry’s death. He was found in an alley on Salem Drive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On July 11, a 19-year-old named Ricardo Williams was shot and killed in the Shorewood Boulevard area. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Around the same time, a 47-year-old woman named Tomika Chapman was killed in a suspected domestic dispute. Her husband, Gregory Chapman, turned himself in and was subsequently charged with second-degree murder.

Lastly, on July 12, a 57-year-old man named Sidney Brown was fatally shot on Marais Street.

The New Orleans Police Department is urging anyone with information about these homicides to come forward and contact Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
