Violence and gun-related incidents continue to plague the city of Karachi, as two people lost their lives and several others were injured in a series of incidents on Friday. These incidents serve as a grim reminder of the prevalent law and order situation in the city.
In the first incident, a 26-year-old labourer named Farman Ali was shot dead near the New Karachi graveyard. The suspects, riding a motorcycle, targeted Ali and fled the scene immediately. In another incident, Ali Akbar, a 34-year-old man, was fatally shot during a mugging attempt in Raees Goth. The police are investigating both cases to bring the culprits to justice.

Furthermore, a personal dispute between cousins resulted in a shooting incident in Landhi’s Mansehra Colony, leaving two individuals injured. Pervaiz, 45, and Zubair, 35, were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. The police are actively working on resolving the dispute.
Apart from targeted shootings, stray bullets also caused harm to innocent bystanders. Tariq, 35, and Mudassir, 42, were injured in separate incidents. Tariq was struck by a stray bullet in the SITE B Section, while Mudassir was injured by a bullet from an unknown direction in the Rizvia Society area. Both victims received medical attention at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Additionally, domestic strife led to the stabbing of two women in the Site Super Highway Industrial Area. Noor Fatima, 45, and Sitara, 22, sustained injuries during the dispute and were immediately taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
These incidents highlight the urgent need for improved security measures and effective law enforcement in Karachi. The police must intensify their efforts to apprehend the criminals responsible for these acts of violence and ensure the safety of the city’s residents.
