A prayer event is being organized in Lake City, South Carolina, for a coach and students who were involved in a bus crash earlier this week. The community prayer event will take place at the Lake City High School football field on Sunday at 8 p.m. The coach involved in the crash has been identified as Ronald “Ronnie” Baker, the head football coach at Lake City High School.
The accident occurred in Orangeburg County on Thursday when a tractor-trailer collided with a mini-bus carrying Baker and four students. All five individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The bus was traveling north on U.S. 301, while the truck was driving west on Bonner Avenue when the collision occurred. Fortunately, the truck driver did not sustain any injuries.

According to Florence School District Three, the bus was returning from a football camp at South Carolina State University. The district provided information about the students involved, stating that one of them was 17 years old, and the other three were 16. Two of the students attended Lake City High School, while the remaining two were students at J. Paul Truluck Creative Arts and Science Magnet School.
