A Milwaukee man, Amardi Stotts, has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide in connection with the killing of Dale Young, a father of four and beloved youth basketball coach. The shooting occurred on June 7 near 69th and Carmen, where Young was found in the road with 15 gunshot wounds. Despite being taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
According to prosecutors, eleven bullet holes were found in the passenger side of Young’s van, which was discovered several houses down from the crime scene. Stotts, identified as “Mardi” in the complaint, was arrested, and the red pickup truck was found parked in his driveway.
