The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide that occurred near Belleville on Friday. Deputies were called to the scene in the 2100 block of East County Road 600S after receiving a report of a death investigation. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a female, later identified as Rebecca Maners, 62, of Clayton.
The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Hendricks County Coroner, has classified the incident as a homicide and is actively working to gather more information about the case. They are urging anyone with knowledge about the incident or who may have witnessed something unusual in the area prior to the officers’ arrival to come forward.
