A tragic incident occurred in Lake City, MN on Friday when a motorcycle collided with a deer, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old man named Spencer Streed. According to the official report from the State Patrol, Streed was traveling south on Highway 63 near the southwest edge of Lake City when the collision with the deer occurred around 11:50 AM. Unfortunately, the motorcycle then crashed into a trailer being pulled by a northbound pickup, causing further damage and ultimately leading to Streed’s death. It is worth noting that Streed was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The crash took place at the intersection of Highway 63 and Orchard Lane, near the entrance to The Jewel Golf Course. Despite the severity of the accident, none of the five occupants in the pickup, including three young children, were injured. The driver of the pickup was identified as 37-year-old Shamus Ryan from Goodhue.
