A Victorville resident was shot and killed on Sunday night, and the suspect has been arrested. The incident took place in the 14200 block of Valley Center Drive in Victorville. The victim, identified as Eddie James, a 43-year-old male, was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The Victorville Police Department responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, was called in to handle the case. Through their investigation, they identified Ricky Prudholme Jr., a 41-year-old male and Victorville resident, as the suspect.

With the assistance of the Specialized Enforcement Detail, Prudholme was located and taken into custody. He has been booked at the High Desert Detention Center on charges of murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and participation in a criminal street gang. Prudholme is currently being held without bail.
