On July 10th, a shooting occurred on Sigmon Road in Roanoke, Virginia, leaving one man dead and another injured. The incident took place around 11:20 pm, when the police received information about a gunshot victim on the 1600 block of Sigmon Road NW. Upon arrival, they found an unidentified man with non-life-threatening injuries outside a home. He was immediately taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, another man was found on the scene with a critical gunshot wound and was pronounced dead by Roanoke Fire-EMS. The police launched an investigation and took a male and a woman into custody for questioning. The man, identified as 18-year-old Ja’Zion Z. Robertson of Roanoke, was determined to be allegedly involved in the shooting. Consequently, Robertson has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.

The investigation is still ongoing, with no further details currently available. However, the police believe that all individuals involved in the incident were acquainted with each other, and there is no additional threat to the public.
