A man in Evansville, Indiana, has been arrested after crashing his car on Saturday afternoon. Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a crash with injuries at the intersection of St. Joseph Rd and Neu Rd around 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they found a damaged blue Chrysler minivan with deployed airbags.
The driver, identified as Rocky Decorrevont, was found to be unsteady on his feet and sweating profusely. Deputies discovered three pills identified as Alprazolam, the generic brand of Xanax, in Decorrevont’s pants. According to the affidavit, Decorrevont admitted to taking a prescribed muscle relaxer, which he knew would slow his reaction time and contributed to the crash.

Decorrevont claimed that he had swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel in the road, overcorrected, and subsequently rolled his van over two times. He also confessed to having consumed a beer earlier in the day. A breath alcohol test revealed a content of 0.022%.
Upon further investigation, authorities found Xanax and methamphetamine in Decorrevont’s boots when he was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail. As a result, he is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule IV drug, and two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
