“16-year-old Elrecus Nolan Fatally Shot in South Wichita, Two Arrested”

Two 21-year-old men have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred in Wichita, Kansas on Monday night. The victim, identified as 16-year-old Elrecus Nolan, was found unconscious and not breathing at the scene with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite the efforts of officers and EMS, Nolan was pronounced dead.

The incident unfolded when a witness heard several gunshots and noticed a silver 2002 Ford Taurus slowly rolling westbound on Mt. Vernon, eventually hitting the curb and stopping on the sidewalk. Wichita police officers quickly arrived at the scene and began providing life-saving efforts to Nolan. However, their efforts were in vain.

One of the suspects was arrested near Kellogg and Edgemoor, while the other was also taken into custody. The first suspect was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder and failure to appear, while the second suspect was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder.
